About the workplace

Huddinge Municipality invests in preventive work!

We are looking for a substitute for the central Huddinge family center. The position is 100% and lasts for one year.

The family center is one of four family centers in Huddinge. The family center in central Huddinge is co-located with the Open Preschool and has a close collaboration with the Child Health Center and the Midwifery Clinic.

The family center is a service for expectant parents, children aged 0-5 years, parents, and other important adults around the child. We offer a meeting place with support tailored to the whole family's life situation. Here, visitors can access both general health-promoting and indicated preventive support in the form of the Open Preschool's activities, individual conversations, and parenting groups. The long-term goal of the family centers is to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors for the target group through professional collaboration.

The family center in central Huddinge offers you a creative and development-oriented work environment in close collaboration with other professional categories.

The family center's social workers are part of the Preventive Unit for ages 0-20 within the Child and Youth Section of the Social Administration, together with Coordinators for parenting support, the Preventive Team, the group activity Fridlyst, and Parenting Advisors.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker at the family center in central Huddinge, you will work with health-promoting and preventive psychosocial work, which involves providing information, advice, and support individually and in groups in collaboration with other services within the family center. The social workers also lead the parenting groups ABC and the Safety Circle. The work involves collaboration with other community actors responsible for the target group.

The social workers at the family centers in Huddinge Municipality have regular meetings and supervision.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has equivalent academic education. You have at least 2 years of experience in qualified work with pregnant women and/or the very youngest children and families within health-promoting, preventive, and/or outpatient social services.

It is beneficial if you have experience in leading groups. If you also have group leadership competence in ABC and the Safety Circle, it is an extra merit.

We are looking for a colleague with a good ability to collaborate with other professionals. For successful work, you need to be relationship-building, attentive, and have the ability to create trust. Important qualities include being structured and able to independently plan and execute your work. We are looking for someone who is proactive and motivated to drive activities in the organization. In addition, we place great importance on personal suitability.
